FantasyDraft MLB: Wednesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft MLB series.

PITCHER

Jose Berrios, MN vs. CHW ($22,200): The White Sox aren't nearly as bad against righties as they were early in the season, but they still carry the sixth-lowest wOBA against them this season. Most of Berrios' great starts came earlier in the season, but he pitched a gem in his most recent outing against the Mariners, striking out eight and allowing just one run in eight innings.

Jordan Montgomery, NYY vs. LAA ($15,300): Montgomery was in a similar spot last week, facing the Angels and it didn't end well. However, back at home, I have a feeling it will be a different story. The Angels are pretty good at making contact against lefties this season, but they remain a bottom-10 team in wOBA against them. Even with the dud against the Angels last week, Montgomery has only allowed eight runs in his past five starts.

INFIELD

Travis Shaw, MIL vs. PIT ($8,400): With another vulnerable righty on the mound in Trevor Williams, we'll want to target the best lefties in the Milwaukee lineup. This pick came down to Eric Thames or Shaw, and while Thames has a better fantasy points per game average, he's not as reliable. Shaw is second on the team in wOBA against righties this season (.392), and he's performed better lately, including a home run Tuesday night against righty Chad Kuhl.

Jose Ramirez, CLE at BAL ($9,600): Ramirez has been the hottest hitter in the league over the past week, with 19 hits in his past seven games. He gets another great matchup Wednesday against Kevin Gausman, who comes in a 6.60 ERA and has allowed at least four runs in his past three starts.

Gary Sanchez, NYY vs. LAA ($9,600): Sanchez homered again Tuesday night, his sixth in the past nine games, and he'll now face Ricky Nolasco, who enters with a 5.01 ERA for the season, allowing at least five runs in three of his past five starts.

OUTFIELD

Cody Bellinger, LAD vs. NYM ($10,300):Corey Seager hit three home runs Tuesday night, but nobody in the Dodgers' lineup is hotter than Bellinger, who has nine home runs in his past nine games. He has been crushing righties all season, posting a .408 wOBA against them, and he'll now face righty Tyler Pill, who has pitched well in one of two starts this season.

Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE at BAL ($7,800): Chisenhall went 3-for-6 with two RBI on Tuesday against Chris Tillman, and he now gets to face off against another struggles Orioles right-hander in Kevin Gausman. Chisenhall is second on the team with a .388 wOBA against righties this season, and he should be able to take advantage once again.

Steven Souza, TB vs. CIN ($8,700): As has been the case most of the season, there's a choice to be made between Souza and Corey Dickerson, and oddly enough, Dickerson has been better against lefties, while Souza has been better against righties. They now get righty Tim Adelman, who has been serviceable this season, but still brings a 4.22 ERA into this game. Souza is not only good against righties, but he's been on a roll lately with double-digit points in four of his past six games.

UTILITY

Joey Votto, CIN at TB ($9,200):Erasmo Ramirez takes the mound for the Rays, which means the Reds' lineup should be in for a big day. Ramirez enters with a 5.17 ERA and has allowed at least four runs in three of his past four starts. Meanwhile, Votto leads the Reds in wOBA against righties this season at .407, which is 24th in the majors.

Anthony Rizzo, CHC vs. SD ($9,600): With Miguel Diaz on the mound for the Padres, the Cubs are an obvious stack. Rizzo has been on fire since moving to the leadoff spot, and he's been very good against righties this season, coming in with a team-high .375 wOBA against them this year.
