Gibaut earned trust in high-leverage situations early last season and went on to appear in 74 games, which was tied for fifth in the league among relief pitchers. His 75.2 innings were more than his previous four seasons combined and he posted eight wins, three saves and 23 holds. The 30-year-old righty had decent ratios, but didn't strike many batters out and had a below average 8.8% walk rate. Gibaut could use another strikeout pitch to complement his mid-90's 4-seamer and he's been successful with his sweeper in the past, but it's unknown whether a pitch mix adjustment is in store.
