Lakers and Bucks Tangle in Interconference Showdown
The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on Thursday night.

The Lakers (24-4) come into Thursday's game having just seen an impressive seven-game winning streak snapped their last time on the court. Los Angeles dropped a narrow 105-102 decision to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, a defeat that also saw a stretch of 14 straight road wins for the Lakers come to an end. LeBron James and Dwight Howard co-led the Lakers with 20 points apiece, with James adding nine rebounds and nine assists and Howard also pulling down six boards and recording a pair of blocks. Avery Bradley poured in 13 points, while Alex Caruso tallied 11 points, four boards, three assists and two steals. JaVale McGee delivered 10 points, eight rebounds, one assist and three blocks.

The Lakers will list Anthony Davis (ankle) as questionable for Thursday's game, while Kyle Kuzma (ankle) will remain out.

The Bucks (24-4), like their opponent, also saw an extended winning streak come to an end their last time on the court. Milwaukee fell by a 120-116 margin to a Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks squad Monday night, their first loss in 19 games. Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 48 points, adding 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. Kyle Korver poured in 17 points. Ersan Ilyasova totaled 11 points, six boards and two assists. George Hill posted 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Bucks will likely list Dragan Bender (ankle) as no better than questionable for Thursday's game.

Thursday's game marks the first of two 2019-20 meetings for the Lakers and Bucks. Milwaukee swept the two-game 2018-19 season series between the teams.
