Surging Suns Host Jazz on Monday
The Phoenix Suns play host to the Utah Jazz at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday.

The Suns (2-1) could easily be 3-0 and they truly look like one of the most improved teams in the NBA this season. The only loss was actually an overtime defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, which was actually played on the road. The two victories came against a talented Sacramento Kings team and a Los Angeles Clippers club who many people consider the best club in the NBA. That has built quite the resume' for this club and it's scary to think how good they could be if Deandre Ayton weren't suspended. Both Devin Booker and Kelly Oubre Jr appear to be playing with some serious fire and that young duo is going to have to continue their stellar play to keep people talking about this Suns squad.

The Jazz (2-1) really struggled the first two games of the season but a 32-point beatdown of the Sacramento Kings on Saturday is hopefully a sign of things to come. The guy they really need to get going is the newly-acquired Mike Conley. The steady point guard has been one of the most underrated point guards throughout the last decade but he's really slumping right now. In fact, Conley is averaging just 10 points and 5.3 assists per game while shooting a nightmarish 23.7 percent from the field. That's something we're not used to seeing with an efficiency monster like Conley and it's just a matter of time before he gets it going. He's not the only one though, as Rudy Gobert and Joe Ingles are sliding themselves. All of these guys will eventually get going and Jazz fans have to be ecstatic that they're 2-1 despite all of their key pieces slumping.

Not only has Utah won seven-straight games over Phoenix, they've also won 14 of their last 15 games over them in total.
