Kings and Jazz Face Off in Desert
The Sacramento Kings take on the Utah Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Saturday night.

The Kings (22-30) appeared to be making serious strides recently during a stretch when they went 7-1, but they've promptly followed it up with a five-game skid. Sacramento's most recent stumble came against the Detroit Pistons, which toppled them by a 113-101 score Thursday night. De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 23 points, adding nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Richaun Holmes and Buddy Hield provided matching 15-point tallies, with Holmes adding nine rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks. Harrison Barnes supplied 13 points, four boards and two assists.

The Kings will continue without Marvin Bagley (hand) for Saturday's game. Damian Jones (recent acquisition) will likely carry a questionable tag.

The Jazz (39-13) have able to avoid any true extended stretches of losing, and they just nipped a modest two-game losing streak in the bud with a 122-103 win over the Trail Blazers on Thursday night. Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Jazz with 37 points, supplementing them with five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Rudy Gobert generated an 18-point, 21-rebound double-double that also included two assists and one block. Joe Ingles delivered 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley generated matching 11-point tallies while posting five and three rebounds, respectively. Georges Niang poured in 10 points.

The Jazz will list Jordan Clarkson and Udoka Azubuike as doubtful and out, respectively, due to ankle injuries.

Saturday's game marks the first of three meetings between the teams this season. The Jazz won the 2019-20 season series against the Kings by a 2-1 margin.
