The New Orleans Pelicans play host to the New York Knicks at Smoothie King Center on Wednesday evening.

The Knicks (28-27) have won three in a row, but they are, 5-5, in their last 10 games. Julius Randle continues to lead the team, averaging 23.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists, in 37 minutes per game. R.J. Barrett is averaging 17.4 points on 45 percent shooting, while Alec Burks is averaging 12.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. The Knicks continue to do a good job on the defensive end as they are holding opponents to league-low averages of 104.2 points per game, and 44.1 percent shooting per game. However, they are averaging 105.4 points per game, which is fourth fewest in the league, and they are shooting an average of 45.0 percent from the field, which is eighth worst in the league.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans (25-29) have won six of their last 10 games, including their last three in a row. They will look to stay strong as they face the second game of a two-game home stand, with the opportunity to build on their, 16-3, home record. Zion Williamson continues to dominate, averaging 26.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists, in 33 minutes per game. Brandon Ingram has been playing well lately, including a 34-point performance in the most recent contest, while he is averaging 24.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Lonzo Ball (hip) remains doubtful for action on Wednesday, while Josh Hart (thumb) is out. The Pelicans do a good job on the offensive end, as they are averaging 114.7 points per game, which is eighth most in the league, and they are shooting an average of 48.2 percent from the field, which is sixth best in the league. However, they are giving up an average of 114.9 points per game, which is fourth most in the league.
