Knicks Close Out Second Straight Win
The New York Knicks defeated the visiting Toronto Raptors, 102-96, at Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening.

The Knicks got out to a good start with a, 27-16, lead after one quarter. The pace picked up in the second, but the Knicks stayed in control and pushed their lead to 14 points, by halftime. The Raptors came out strong in the third quarter and outscored the hosts, 34-22, to cut it to a two-point game, heading into the final frame. The Raptors pulled ahead early in the fourth, but the Knicks reclaimed control down the stretch and came up clutch to close out their second straight win.

Julius Randle led the way for the Knicks with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists, in 38 minutes. R.J. Barrett followed up with 19 points, five assists and two steals, while Nerlens Noel totaled nine points, 13 rebounds, four blocks and a steal. The Knicks shot 39 percent from the field, including 9-of-35 from long range.

Meanwhile, Gary Trent Jr. was the high-point man for the Raptors with 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting, in 35 minutes. Kyle Lowry logged 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Chris Boucher totaled 17 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. The Raptors shot 41 percent from the field, including 11-of-34 from deep.

The Raptors (21-33) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Hawks on Tuesday. The Knicks (27-27) play host to the Lakers on Monday.
