2019 Fantasy Outlook
Arcidiacono appeared in 81 games and drew 32 starts as a sophomore last season, accumulating per-game averages of 6.7 points (44.7 FG%, 37.3 3P%, 87.3 FT%), 3.3 assists versus 0.8 turnovers, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 three and 0.8 steals across 24.2 minutes. Having earned just 12.7 minutes per night in 24 tilts as a rookie, Arcidiacono was a pleasantly surprising source of efficient counting stats in 2018-19. The offseason additions of Tomas Satoransky and Coby White could result in less playing time for Arcidiacono going forward, especially if Kris Dunn isn't eventually traded. As a result, Arcidiacono could find it difficult to match last year's production. With that being said, his ability to sink threes coupled with his willingness to get after it defensively may keep him involved in the regular rotation. Ultimately, barring a roster shakeup that opens up more minutes, Arcidiacono is likely best reserved for use in deeper fantasy formats. Read Past Outlooks

College/International Summary

When Arcidiacono arrived at Villanova in 2012, the Wildcats were a perennial NCAA Tournament team that could not advance past the first weekend. By the time he left, the team had garnered a national championship. The 6-foot-3 guard started 142 games for the squad over a four-year career and improved his three-point shooting in each of his seasons. As a freshman, he averaged 11.9 points (his second-highest total) and 3.5 assists. He was named Big East Rookie of the Week four times and had a 32-point outburst (including seven three-pointers) in an overtime win over St. John's. Arcidiacono's average dipped to 9.9 points as a sophomore, but he helped the Wildcats beat Kansas with a late three-pointer. The guard scored 18 points in the NCAA Tournament loss to UConn in the second round. As a junior, Arcidiacono struggled with a wrist injury and averaged 10.1 points. He hit 44.4 percent of his three-pointers in conference play and shared Big East Player of the Year honors with Kris Dunn. His senior season unfolded in storybook fashion. He averaged 12.5 points and 4.2 assists. The biggest assist came in the National Championship game as he set up Kris Jenkins for the game-winning three-pointer against North Carolina. He averaged 15.8 points in the Big Dance and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

2017

After spending the entire 2016-17 campaign in the G League, Arcidiacono split his time between the minors and the NBA in 2017-18. He started all 37 games he appeared in for the G League's Windy City Bulls and came off the bench for 24 games with the Bulls. With Windy City, he averaged 13.9 points, 8.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals on 45.6 percent shooting. The 6-foot-3 floor general also shot 44.6 percent on 3-point attempts while averaging 39.5 minutes per game. His 8.5 assists per game ranked fifth in the G-League. Arcidiacono ultimately averaged 2.0 points and 1.5 assists on 41.5 percent shooting over 12.7 minutes per game across his 24 NBA appearances. In his first game back in the NBA after his G League stint, Arcidiacono scored eight points with four assists. He dished out a season-high six assists against the Celtics on Apr. 6. Two games later, he dropped a season-high nine points against the Nets.

2018

After dipping his toe in the water as a rookie, Arcidiacono's sophomore campaign saw him dive in headfirst. The Villanova product played in 81 games for the Bulls, including 32 starts. In the process, Arcidiacono's minutes almost doubled to 24.2 per night. Playing point guard, he took 5.2 shots per game, making 44.7 percent of his field goals. He frequently served as a deep threat, attempting 2.7 shots from downtown on average and converting 37.3 percent of them. All in all, Arcidiacono scored 6.7 points per game and distributed 3.3 assists per contest. On Feb. 13, "Arch" dished 11 assists and gathered in six rebounds. The point guard showed what he could do offensively in late November, when he posted back-to-back games with 22 points against the Spurs and Bucks. Arch played 26 minutes or more in 35 of his 67 games.
