Dorsey agreed to a three-year contract with Turkish club Fenerbahce on Tuesday, Eurohoops.net reports.
ANALYSIS
After a productive three-year run in Europe, Dorsey made his return to North America to begin the 2022-23 season after he inked a two-way contract with the Mavericks. He appeared in just three games with Dallas before being cut in December, but he had since been suiting up for the Mavericks' G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. Since another NBA opportunity didn't appear imminent, Dorsey will opt for more financial security by heading overseas on what's presumably a far more lucrative contract that the one he had been playing under in the G League.

Dorsey had a private workout with the Mavericks on Sunday, according to Krysten Peek of Yahoo Sports.
ANALYSIS
Dorsey appeared in a combined 104 regular-season games for Atlanta and Memphis between 2017 and 2019, but he has made a name for himself in Europe over the last few years. The second-best scorer for Olympiacos last season, Dorsey would add depth to the Mavericks' backcourt if he gets signed.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
The 2017 second-round pick out of Oregon began his rookie season well out of the rotation, seeing the floor in just 11 of the first 37 games of the year. However, the Hawks eventually opted to get their youngster some run later in the season, which allowed Dorsey to become a regular member of the rotation over the final 45 contests. During that stretch, Dorsey averaged 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 20.2 minutes. He also knocked down 1.5 three-pointers at a 36.4 percent clip, showing off his range and ability to stretch the floor. Even more notable was Dorsey's final 10-game stretch where he averaged 14.4 points and 2.3 three-pointers with a 42.9 percent clip from three-point land across 26.4 minutes. Clearly Dorsey showed off some upside as a rookie, which would typically mean an uptick in his workload going into his second season. The Hawks shipped starting point guard, Dennis Schroder, to the Thunder, though then added Jeremy Lin in an offseason trade. In addition to Lin, Atlanta also drafted collegiate star Trae Young with the fifth overall pick, so he's expected to get big minutes right away at Dorsey's position. That designates Dorsey as the third point guard on the roster and makes it unlikely he sees much more court time than last year. Lin is a candidate to be dealt at the trade deadline and it wouldn't be surprising if Dorsey saw his role grow in the second half of the season once again. However, with so many bodies already expected to command significant minutes for much of the year, Dorsey isn't looking like an overly intriguing Fantasy contributor.
The 41st overall pick in the 2017 draft, Dorsey signed a guaranteed deal with Atlanta in July. Even with a depleted roster, however, Dorsey will have to fight for minutes at the NBA level and could ultimately end up spending a decent amount of time in the D-League. The Oregon product scored in double-figures in both of his collegiate seasons, and he posted averages of 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game as a sophomore in 2016-17. While he's a bit undersized to play two-guard in the NBA, Dorsey is an excellent three-point shooter -- 42.3% 3PT on 5.3 3PA/game last season -- and that skill could become his calling card.
