2019 Fantasy Outlook
Williams wasn't drafted in June 2018 following a solid three-year career at TCU, so he went about making an NBA name for himself the old-fashioned way. The 24-year-old admittedly couldn't come close duplicating the shooting efficiency he'd demonstrated in his college days (47.7 percent or better from the floor in all three seasons), as he drained just 38.4 percent of his attempts. However, Williams unexpectedly played in 46 games and was part of the starting five from Feb. 4 until the April 9 season finale. Williams finished with averages of 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steal across 23.5 minutes. The Pelicans then sent Williams for additional seasoning in the Las Vegas Summer League, where he contributed 9.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals across 28.2 minutes over five games. The landscape looks vastly different in New Orleans heading into the 2019-20 campaign, however, as the team has been almost completely remade thanks to the massive Anthony Davis trade with the Lakers that netted Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, the arrivals of capable veterans J.J. Redick and Derrick Favors, and the selection of Zion Williamson with the first overall pick. Redick and Ingram particularly impact Williams, who played most of his minutes last season at small forward. The 6-foot-7 Williams can also fill in at power forward, but Williamson will naturally see plenty of minutes and Turkish League import Nicolo Melli could well slot in as his primary backup. Personal Bio

Kenrich Lo Williams was born in 1994 in Waco, Texas. He is the son of Cheryl Williams. Kenrich is nicknamed "Kenny Hustle". As a high school senior, Williams led University High School, also in Waco, to a 28-5 record, which included a district championship and an appearance in the 4A Regional I quarterfinals. The forward also earned District 8-4A defensive player of the year honors. He started his collegiate career at New Mexico Junior College but transferred to TCU after his freshman year. While at TCU, Williams majored in sociology. After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Williams started his NBA journey as a member of Denver's 2018 Summer League team in Las Vegas. College/International Summary

Williams went from being not recruited to a Division I school to earning All-Big-12 Second Team honors over the course of five seasons. He attended New Mexico Junior College as a freshman and averaged 10.1 points and 6.9 rebounds before making his way to TCU. The 6-foot-7 wing started 17 games in his sophomore season for the Horned Frogs and averaged 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds. He missed the 2015-16 season after suffering a knee injury. In his return to the court as a redshirt junior, Williams led the Big 12 with 19 double-doubles and provided 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds. TCU won the NIT and Williams contributed the first triple-double in school history with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Richmond. Williams was named NIT Most Valuable Player. In his senior season, he contributed 13.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.8 steals as TCU returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years. He had 13 double-doubles, including four consecutive early in the season. Williams went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, but he would ultimately sign with the New Orleans Pelicans in July 2018 after a short stint with the Denver Nuggets during that year's Summer League.

Healthy enough to practice

Williams (bacK) has been undergoing treatment at Pelicans facilities during the NBA's ongoing hiatus and will be ready to practice when the season resumes, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams has appeared in just 35 games this season due to a back injury and coach's decisions. The back issue looks to be behind Williams at this point, but the 25-year-old may still find himself on the outside of coach Alvin Gentry's rotation once the Pelicans are back playing again.

2018

Williams played in 46 games - including 29 starts - as an undrafted free agent in his first NBA season. He'd go on to average 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. The TCU grad scored in double-digits nine times on the year, including a season-high 21 against Denver on Jan. 30 where he also added eight rebounds. He had set a career-high the previous night with 16 boards in a win over Houston. Williams also enjoyed a three-game stretch where he scored in double-digits in consecutive early-February contests by dropping 12, 19, and 10. The 10 versus Memphis also represented his first career double-double, as he also grabbed 13 rebounds along with a season-high seven assists. As the season progressed, Williams entrenched himself in the rotation and increased his minutes per game from single digits for the first three months of the season to 17.8 in January, 32.5 in February, 29.3 in March and 31 in April. As a result, he ended up starting the sixth-most games for the Pelicans. He came close to reaching another double-double level on Feb. 14 against Oklahoma City, but could only drop nine points in addition to 12 rebounds. Williams would record five steals twice: on Mar. 8 versus Minnesota and Apr. 9 against Golden State.
