2019 Fantasy Outlook
Graham spent most of his rookie season going back and forth between the Hornets and their G League affiliate in Greensboro, but he ended up being a quality contributor for Charlotte for a large portion of the season. He appeared in 46 NBA games, making three starts and averaging 4.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 14.7 minutes per game. He did that while shooting 28.1 percent from behind the arc and 34.3 percent from the floor overall. In his three starts, however, Graham saw 26.9 minutes per game and his numbers grew significantly as a result, as the point guard posted averages of 9.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 40 percent from three. Now, heading into his sophomore season, Graham should be in line for a more consistent role in the team's backcourt following the departure of Kemba Walker to Boston. While Terry Rozier is essentially a lock to be the starting point guard after signing a lucrative deal with the team this offseason, Graham, as of now, is the team's most reliable option to back him up. Should Graham secure that role, he will likely see some boost in production across the board in 2019-20. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio

Devonte' Terrell Graham was born in 1995 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Dewanna King. He attended Needham B. Broughton High School in his hometown, where he posted 15.7 and 5.4 assists per game as a junior on a team that went 26-6 and made it to the 4A State final. For his senior year, Graham transferred to the prestigious Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He joined forces with Donovan Mitchell to lead the club to a 33-0 record en route to the national prep title. Graham was also part of the USA contingent that won Gold at the 2015 University Games. You can follow him on Instagram (@dtaegraham).

College/International Summary

Graham could have had a relatively anonymous collegiate career had his original plans occurred. He had planned to attend Appalachian State, but he had a fantastic senior season at Brewster Academy and led his team to a National Prep Championship. In the collegiate realm, he ended up with the Jayhawks. After coming off the bench for his freshman season, Graham became a starter next to Frank Mason as a sophomore. The two guards caused headaches for Big 12 opponents for the next two seasons. Graham concluded his sophomore season by putting up 27 points in the Big 12 Dhampionship game against West Virginia. He averaged 11.3 points and 3.7 assists as a sophomore, then 13.4 points and 4.1 assists in the following season. After Mason left for the NBA, Graham ran the Jayhawk show. He provided 17.3 points and 7.2 assists per game in 2017-18. He had back-to-back games of 35 points. Kansas advanced to the Final Four before losing to Villanova. Graham averaged 17.4 points and 5.6 assists in the Big Dance. Graham was drafted in the 2nd round, 34th overall, in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks but was then traded to the Charlotte Hornets for two second-round picks.

Graham registered 30 points (11-19 FG, 8-11 3Pt), six assists, one rebound and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 109-98 win at Miami.
ANALYSIS
Graham missed last week's game against the Spurs on Mar. 3, but he's been on fire since then -- he has topped the 20-point mark while dishing out at least six assists in four straight games. It's unclear when Graham will be able to take the floor again, however, as the NBA has suspended its season indefinitely amid coronavirus concerns.

2018

Devonte' Graham spent his rookie season between the Charlotte Hornets and their G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. Graham played 46 games for the Hornets and started three times. He averaged 4.7 points (on 34.3 percent shooting) and 2.6 assists in 15 minutes per game. He also shot 28 percent from behind the arc. Graham scored a season-high 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-6 from long range, on Apr. 3 against the Pelicans. He scored in double digits eight times throughout the season, including a stretch of four games straight from Dec . 28 to Jan. 5. Graham had a season-high nine assists on Mar. 24 in Toronto. He finished the contest with 10 points, nine assists, three rebounds and two steals, which was arguably his best performance of the season. Graham tallied at least three assists on 20 occasions. He gathered four rebounds on two occasions. Graham flashed enough upside during his rookie season to possibly take on a larger role in 2019-20, especially if the Hornets lose Kemba Walker to free agency.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Graham, after four seasons at Kansas, was drafted by the Hawks with the 34th overall pick in the 2018 Draft, but then dealt to Charlotte in exchange for two future second-rounders. During his senior campaign, he was named Big 12 Player of the Year on the back of 17.3 points, 7.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per tilt. He also hit 2.8 threes per game at 40.6 percent. Graham showed off his passing ability during summer league, averaging 6.0 assists in 25.9 minutes, but failed to knock down a three on 12 attempts. Considering the presence of Kemba Walker, Tony Parker and Malik Monk, it seems unlikely Graham will be able to make a significant Fantasy impact during his rookie campaign.
