Saturday's Training Camp Notes

- Chad Johnson was arrested.

He says, she says. Apparently there was a head butt involved and this should impact Johnson as far as his ability to be the Dolphins #1 wide receiver. Bump Legedu Naanee up a notch.

- Cedric Benson is expected to sign with the Packers.

This isn't a complete shocker considering James Starks hasn't been turning heads in camp so far. What is a little surprising is the Packers are going with Benson over Ryan Grant, who knows the offense. Benson at this point won't have much fantasy value as added RB depth, especially considering Aaron Rodgers is the goal line back.

- The Ravens' tight ends have Todd Heap syndrome.

Both Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta are out for the preseason with injuries. The team isn't expected to sign anyone else and both could be back for the start of the season.

- Dez Bryant has Miles Austin syndrome.

Bryant is dealing with a hamstring tweak that could keep him out of the team's first preseason game. After gaining steam on the hype train, Bryant's stock has fallen since the altercation with his mother. Take this as minor news for now as the injury doesn't sound too serious.

- Jonathan Stewart signed a five-year, $36.5 million extension with the Panthers.

Huh? DeAngelo Williams has a $43 million deal and they signed Mike Tolbert in the offseason to a four-year $10 million deal. Granted, it's not all guaranteed but that's a lot of money to spend on your backfield. It'll be tough to expect consistent production out of any of the three ball carriers.
