Box Score Breakdown -- Wednesday, November 26th

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone reading and if you owned Markieff Morris, LeBron James or DeMarcus Cousins, you'd be extra happy and thankful today after their big nights last night. On a down note, no NBA today. But that just means you can re-read today's Box Score Breakdown multiple times!

ADD ME! ADD ME!

Jose Calderon is available is owned in just 43 percent of ESPN leagues and 78 percent of Yahoo leagues, meaning he is somehow still around in too many leagues, especially after he exploded against his former team. Calderon had 21 points (7-13 FG, 7-9 3Pt) with 10 rebounds, and four assists in a masterful shooting performance. You need to consider that the Knicks were playing without Carmelo Anthony, but even so, Calderon is locked in as the starting point guard and should be owned in all 10 and 12 team leagues. He's averaging 3.0 three-pointers, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in his three games since returning from a calf injury, numbers that would help every team. As he gets more comfortable in the triangle, he should post more consistent numbers, but don't let someone else grab him for free.

CASUALTY WARD

Eric Bledsoe left the court after falling on his hip twice during the game, but was able to return. Hopefully for his owners it's nothing serious, but if he was to miss, Gerald Green becomes must-own.

Danilo Gallinari played just nine minutes due to soreness in his surgically repaired knee. He had been playing a lot of minutes recently so the soreness is a concern. Let's hope there is no damage. If he was to miss time, Wilson Chandler's value rises as does Alonzo Gee off the bench.

Marvin Williams played just 10 minutes for the Hornets after suffering a shoulder strain. If he misses time, Cody Zeller will start and becomes close to a must own in 12 team leagues. The hope is that if Zeller gets the job, he won't relinquish it when Williams does return, but that's out of the hands of fantasy owners.

FANTASY LINE OF THE NIGHT

Without Rudy Gay and Darren Collison, DeMarcus Cousins beasted for a line of 29 points (9-18 FG, 11-13 FT), 17 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. Ignoring the seven turnovers, Cousins was incredible and has been all season. If you drafted him, he is exceeding that value, and looks to be a mainstay in the top 10.

BOX SCORE HIGHLIGHTS AND ODDITIES

Wesley Matthews went off from deep, hitting six three-pointers to end with 28 points, but added only one rebound and one assist, which is a little disappointing, although you can't complain about the triples.

LaMarcus Aldridge struggled with his shot, hitting just 3-of-18 shots to end with nine points. He did add 14 rebounds and three blocks, but the poor field goal percentage from a big man is poor, and he is only shooting 45 percent for the season.

Chris Kaman continued to do what he's been doing, scoring 12 points with seven rebounds in just 18 minutes. He's averaging 6.9 boards his season in only 19 minutes and is a consistent source of rebounds if your team needs that in a plug and play type scenario.

Cody Zeller took advantage of Marvin Williams' injury during the game to play 30 minutes. He only added nine points and seven rebounds, but also gave his owners four assists, one steal, and one block and is a guy to watch if he can consistently get these type of minutes.

Al Jefferson had his third 20 points, 10 rebound night in his last four games, scoring 21 points (9-19 FG, 3-3 FT) with 14 boards, also adding three blocks. He's now averaging 11.5 rebounds in his last four, well up on his season average of 7.9.

Brian Roberts scored a career high 24 points in 32 minutes and played in preference to Lance Stephenson, who only managed 23 minutes. Stephenson has been disappointing all season, and while he's not in the droppable category yet, he's nearing it. Roberts, on the other hand, is someone worth watching if he can lock down the sixth-man role.

In the blowout loss to the Cavaliers, Rasual Butler scored a season-high 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), but due to the score, it's hard to read into any of the Wizards' box scores.

So much for the news that Mike Miller may start at shooting guard - he didn't even get into the game. Shawn Marion remained the starter, scoring six points with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Dion Waiters had had 15 points, six assists and three steals. The shooting guard spot feels like it will be up and down all season in Cleveland, making all of the players difficulty to own in standard leagues.

LeBron James was awesome, scoring 29 points (7-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 14-17 FT), with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in 36 minutes. If James' field goal percentage can return to a Miami-type level, we'll once again be looking at a top three fantasy player, but for now, it's holding him back from the upper echelon.

Another guy to come close to a triple-double was Deron Williams who took advantage of the hapless Sixers to record a line of 17 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists, throwing in two steals, and one block for good measure. He's been a great asset to fantasy owners this season and the collective fingers of all his owners are remaining crossed.

Even with Brook Lopez dealing with five fouls, Mason Plumlee played just one minute, scoring a solitary field goal. He can be dropped in all 10 and 12 team redraft leagues.

In 28 bench minutes, Alan Anderson scored 12 points with four rebounds, one steal, and one block. This was only the second time this season Anderson has cracked double-digits, despite averaging 19 minutes a game. He's only of use in dep leagues despite this solid performance.

Tony Wroten got another start at shooting guard, scoring 18 points (6-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), added 10 assists and two steals, but turned it over eight times in 35 minutes. It must be noted that Michael Carter-Williams fouled out in just 27 minutes so that likely contributed to Wroten's high assist numbers and it also allowed Wroten to play more point.

K.J. McDaniels played 33 minutes off the bench with MCW's foul struggles, scoring 18 points. Both the points and the minutes were season-highs for McDaniels and he's an intriguing player if he can get playing time equivalent to this.

Steph Curry continued his spectacular form, scoring 28 points (9-13 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT) with five rebounds and eight assists in just 24 minutes. He's now 14-of-19 from three-point land in his last two games.

The Warriors had the game against the Magic under control early, so the minutes were capped for a lot of the starters. Andrew Bogut was still impressive in 24 minutes, scoring six points with 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocks. Given his injury history, you should to deal Bogut for great value now.

Tobias Harris and Kyle O'Quinn returned to action from injury and both guys were productive. Harris double-doubled in 30 minutes, with 16 points and 10 rebounds, where O'Quinn had six points, seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal in just 12 minutes. Don't rush to grab O'Quinn in standard leagues though.

Lou Williams' hot streak continued, scoring 22 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT) with two assists and three steals in 26 minutes against his former team. Williams is affecting Terrence Ross' value and has to be owned in most leagues for now.

Greivis Vasquez also scored heavily off the bench, dropping 21 points in 17 minutes. He'll be extremely valuable if anything happens to Kyle Lowry, but until then, he's a deep league player only.

The Jonas Valanciunas frustration tour continued, scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds in 24 minutes. He is only playing 24 minutes a game this season, but by no means should you be dropping him.

Al Horford had one of his best games of the season, scoring 23 points with nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 32 minutes. Also bouncing back was Kyle Korver, who hit four three-pointers in his 19 points. There was no need to panic on both guys after yesterday's struggles, they'll just be a little up and down.

Paul Millsap was a little below par, scoring just eight points with five rebounds and four assists, but there's nothing to worry about.

Reggie Bullock got the start for the injured Matt Barnes, but played just 17 minutes for seven points and two steals. All the Barnes injury does is give more minutes to Jamal Crawford, who played 33 minutes, scoring 25 points with three three-pointers, four assists, two steals, and one block.

Blake Griffin shot wasn't falling, but he did put up a decent line of 15 points (6-17 FG, 3-3 FT) with seven rebounds and seven assists.

Andre Drummond shot over 50 percent for the second consecutive game, scoring 17 points with 13 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Is the slump over? it's starting to look that way.

With no Brandon Jennings, D.J. Augustin took full advantage, scoring 19 points (7-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and added three rebounds and six assists. As long as Jennings remains out, Augustin is a guy who should be looked at.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope bounced back with a 17 point performance, but he's been so wildly inconsistent this season that it's hard to justify holding a roster spot for him in 10 or 12 team leagues.

It felt like it was revenge day in the Knicks and Mavericks game, with Jose CalderonSamuel Dalembert and Tyson Chandler all posting massive lines n games against their former teams. Dalembert had 13 points, 13 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, while Chandler pulled down 25 rebounds, adding 17 points and two blocks.

J.R. Smith started in place of Carmelo Anthony and scored 15 points , but it took him 20 shots to get there. It's becoming increasingly difficult to hold onto Smith in 12 team leagues.

With Raymond Felton and Jameer Nelson both out, Devin Harris got the start and scored nine points with eight assists in 40 minutes. For as long as Nelson is out, Harris is worth a stream, and in 12 team leagues, he's worth an add outright for his form either starting or off the bench.

Omri Casspi started in place of Rudy Gay and was productive for the second day in a row, scoring 14 points with seven rebounds. As long as Gay is out, Casspi is worth an add if you have a streaming spot on your roster.

Ramon Sessions wasn't quite as successful in his second consecutive start, scoring just eight points with three assists.

Another point guard starting due to injury was Isaiah Canaan, and he exploded for 24 points (9-16 FG, 6-10 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists, and four steals in 32 minutes. While he won't do this regularly, he's a nice source of points and  three-pointers while Patrick Beverley remains out.

Donatas Motiejunas had his best game starting in place of Terrence Jones, scoring 21 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt) with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 37 minutes. With Jones out, Motiejunas is a guy to target in 12 team leagues and has been putting up top 100 value in the last two weeks.

For the Utah Jazz, it was their starting five doing all the heavy lifting, getting a combined three points from their bench in the loss to the Thunder. While that's great for fantasy, it certainly doesn't help them win games.

Serge IbakaJeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson all went over 20 points in the victory, with Ibaka adding a much needed four blocks.

Continuing in Scotty Brooks' tradition, Andre Roberson and Lance Thomas started but provided nothing, with Lamb and Anthony Morrow outplaying them off the bench. If I was to take a stab at one player from that quartet, it would be Lamb, but I'm not confident in saying that.

Larry Sanders had his best game of the season, scoring 15 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five blocks. He's now blocked 10 shots in the last three games and should be owned in all 10 team leagues, despite the inconsistency.

Giannis Antetokounmpo played just 26 minutes, but corrected his poor shooting, going 6-of-12 from the field for 13 points with eight rebounds and four assists.

Despite Gorgui Dieng scoring just four points, he was still effective for your fantasy team, adding eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 36 minutes.

The last two number one picks, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins, both blocked two shots as well. Wiggins was great apart from his poor shooting, totaling 14 points (4-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-8 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks, but also had six turnovers. His stock is rising and needs to be owned.

Zach LaVine started in place of the ill Mo Williams and scored 12 points with four assists and two steals in 37 minutes. It's still Williams' job and he will travel with the team, so don't make any silly moves to grab LaVine.

Rodney Stuckey scored a team-high 22 points to go with four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 35 minutes and is starting to get things going again. In a 12 team league, Stuckey should not be on the wire.

All Pacers played at least 15 minutes, with only two players under 20 minutes, meaning a lot of fantasy value was diluted. That's what will happen when all five of last year's starters are either injured or with another team.

Kawhi Leonard paced the Spurs with 21 points (8-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), adding 13 rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes. After a slow start, Leonard is firing again.

Danny Green scored just two points, but his three blocks as a shooting guard are very valuable. He's blocking 2.0 shots per game in his last seven contests.

Timofey Mozgov is now a must-own player in all leagues, scoring 18 points with 13 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 32 minutes. The minutes are more consistent now, he has three double-doubles in his last six games, blocking 10 shots in that period as well. With JaVale McGee hurting and Jusuf Nurkic not in the rotation, Mozgov is the focal point down low.

Ty Lawson now has at least nine assists in eight straight games, including six double-doubles. He is looking like his old self and putting the disappointing start to the season behind him. We just have to hope he can stay healthy, which was a major concern in the preseason.

With Isaiah Thomas sitting out with a sore ankle, Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green were all able to have big nights. All three topped 20 points and as expected as soon as the minutes became clearer due to injury the values of the remaining members would surge. It may be a good time to offer a trade though, because when Thomas returns, the confusion will as well.

Markieff Morris did it all, scoring 15 points (6-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT) with 10 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and four blocks in 36 minutes. The breakout many saw coming is real and any chance you had to buy low is gone.

Marc Gasol continued his elite form, scoring 19 points with 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in 37 minutes. He is pleasing his owners to no end.

Kobe Bryant hit just 5-of-15 shots for 22 points and continues to murder field goal percentages everywhere.

Carlos Boozer struggled in his return, scoring just four points with six rebounds. He had some big double doubles not long ago, so don't overreact to this dud, but Boozer is on the bubble of being droppable.
