DFS Amateur Hour - Friday Postscript

It was an odd night with five of my 16 lineups drawing dead after Felix Hernandez's disastrous third of an inning and 10 of them suffering a blow when Don Mattingly masterfully removed Clayton Kershaw, only to see the bullpen cough up the win yet again. I still made a profit, taking in $150 (two $45 50/50 wins plus four cashes worth $60 in the MLB Rally) on a $110 investment (two $25 50/50s plus 12 $5 MLB Rally entries.) My bankroll was $1012.60, now it's $1052.60.

I used the RotoWire Optimizer for one of the 50/50s, and it got me 41.66 points (7 out of 40), so I'll probably throw a $25 lineup on its recommendations the next time I play, letting ride until it steers me wrong. I actually picked two players (Kershaw and Evan Longoria) and had the Optimizer fill out the lineup around them.

I also fielded a Tout Wars contest lineup that scored .58 points, by far the lowest score I've ever posted.

It's too bad Starling Marte had to get a game-winning hit in the 13th inning because I would otherwise have had a negative total. Think about that - I should have lost a heads-up contest to someone who fielded a team of players who were on the DL.
