DFS College Basketball: Monday Preview

DFS College Basketball: Monday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

With a rematch of Bedlam taking place Monday, Cade Cunningham ($9,200 DK, $8,500 FD) will look to maintain his momentum following his 40-point, 11-rebound performance against the Sooners on Saturday. DFS players will have to seek out value elsewhere if they hope to slot Cunningham, who has the highest salary on both platforms Monday.

Targets

1. Rondel Walker, G, Oklahoma State ($5,400 DK, $5,000 FD)

For a second consecutive Monday, Isaac Likekele ($4,900 DK, $5,800 FD) has an uncertain status due to a lingering hand injury. Likekele has missed three of the last four games, and Walker has stepped up in a major way in his absence. He's scored in double figures during each game that Likekele has missed while recording over 20 DFS points in each of those matchups due to his results on the boards. Walker is one of my favorite DFS values if Likekele is held out for a second straight game, although the two players could share playing time if Likekele is active.

2. Kobe Webster, G, Nebraska ($4,000 DK)

Webster had consistent playing time off the bench earlier in the season, but he started his first game for the Cornhuskers during Saturday's narrow win over Minnesota. Nebraska announced Monday morning that Teddy Allen has left the program, and Webster seems like the most likely option to take his place in the starting lineup to close out the season. Although he's only available on DraftKings on Monday, Webster should take on a more prominent role during the Cornhuskers' first game without Allen.

3. Bennedict Mathurin, F, Arizona ($5,300 DK, $5,200 FD)

Even though the Wildcats have the lowest expected scoring total of any team on Monday's slate, Mathurin has seen a considerable uptick in usage over the past two games. He had a cold spell earlier in February, but he scored in double figures in each of the last two contests of the month and recorded his second double-double of the season against Washington on Saturday. He's played at least 30 minutes in five of the last seven matchups and will attempt to remain efficient against the Ducks on Monday.

Fades

1. Eric Williams, F, Oregon ($6,100 DK, $6,000 FD)

Williams has returned to the starting lineup during each of the past two matchups, but he's been unable to generate significant production for Oregon. He was limited by a low shot volume Saturday and only mustered five points against California, and he could have limited opportunities once again while squaring off against Arizona's strong frontcourt Monday. Williams has been unable to rediscover his consistency since returning from a knee injury, and there are several players on Monday's DFS slate that have lower salaries with more upside.

2. Marek Dolezaj, F, Syracuse ($5,400 DK, $6,100 FD)

Dolezaj is coming off one of the worst performances of his career in Saturday's loss to Georgia Tech in which he only recorded two points and three rebounds while only attempting one field goal. Coach Jim Boeheim chalked his performance up to a bad day for the senior, but it's not clear whether he'll be back to his full allotment of playing time after he only saw 10 minutes on the court against the Yellow Jackets. Even if he sees considerable playing time against North Carolina, Dolezaj hasn't had much DFS upside recently.

3. Day'Ron Sharpe, F, North Carolina ($6,700 DK, $6,600 FD)

Sharpe has the highest DFS salary of any player for the Tar Heels on Monday even though he's come off the bench in each of the last 12 contests and had one of his worst stat lines of the season in Saturday's win over Florida State. The freshman has maintained a somewhat reliable floor due to his results on the boards, but his playing time and shot volume have been unpredictable as a bench player this year. The Orange are one of the worst teams in the nation on the offensive boards, per KenPom, but his inconsistent minutes make Sharpe a risky DFS play.
