Suffers season-ending injury
Kavas announced via his personal Twitter account that he suffered a season-ending left hand injury in Saturday's 81-64 loss to Wisconsin.
ANALYSIS
The graduate transfer from Seattle came off the bench Saturday and played just over a minute before the injury forced his early departure. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward will now finish out his college career as a spectator, as 2019-20 marks his final year of eligibility. Kavas appeared in 22 games during his lone season at Nebraska, averaging 5.3 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointer in 14.5 minutes.
