SMU's offense was held off the field by Navy's triple-option attack, so they were slowed down and held Jones to a game with less than 20 carries for only the second time in his last six outings. Although the 61 yards fell well shy of the 106.3 he averaged coming in, the senior scored his 19th touchdown, the third-most in the country behind only Western Michigan's LeVante Bellamy and Oklahoma State's Chuba Hubbard. Jones will face Tulsa next week in the regular season finale before finding out their bowl game.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Jones rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2017 with the Mustangs, but that only made 2018's dropoff much more painful when he only had 311 yards on 69 carries over 10 games. Some of that competition ahead of him is gone now, but Jones is looking to likely max out as the backup running back behind Ke'Mon Freeman. That likely won't mean many carries in an Air Raid offense that mostly passes the ball, but his production as a sophomore in 2017 proves he has the capability of carving out a role for himself.
