Transferring from Georgia State
Slade entered the NCAA's transfer portal Tuesday, 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A Class of 2015 recruit, Slade spent the first four seasons of his college career at Memphis. After taking a redshirt during his first year with the Tigers, he accrued 27 receptions for 241 yards and two touchdowns over the following three seasons before joining Georgia State as a graduate transfer in 2019. He never ended up playing a down for the Panthers, however, missing the entire 2019 season due to an apparent injury. Slade apparently expects to receive a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA that would afford him a sixth year of eligibility in 2020, so assuming that's the case, he'll be able to compete immediately at his next stop.
