Skanes announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he will enter the transfer portal with the intention of leaving Connecticut.
ANALYSIS
As a redshirt freshman in 2017, Skanes notched 35 receptions for 335 yards and a touchdown, but he drew just one total target over the past two seasons while appearing in a combined 13 games. He primarily served as a punt returner for the Huskies in 2019, but he'll likely be looking to head to program that can give him more opportunities on offense in his fifth and final year of eligibility. Skanes can compete right away at his next stop as a graduate transfer.
