King announced Thursday via his personal Twitter account that he has placed his name in the NCAA's transfer portal.
ANALYSIS
Though Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins suggested in the spring that King had graduated from the school and was prepared to embark on a non-football-related career, the kicker apparently wants to play out his remaining two years of eligibility at a different school. King, who converted 42 of 46 extra-point tries and nine of 17 field-goal attempts during his three years with the Yellow Jackets, is able to compete immediately at his next stop.
