Moving on to Rhode Island
Robinson announced Monday via his personal Instagram account that he has committed to FCS Rhode Island as a transfer from Liberty.
ANALYSIS
Since Robinson is moving outside of the FBS ranks to continue his career, he'll be able to compete immediately at Rhode Island while retaining three seasons of eligibility. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, Robinson served as the primary backup to starting quarterback Stephen Calvert and completed two of three pass attempts for 19 yards and a touchdown to go with 183 rushing yards and three more scores in limited action. Though Calvert has since exhausted his eligibility, Robinson wasn't believed to be a serious contender for the starting job in 2020 after Liberty brought in Auburn transfer Malik Willis.
