Leaving FAU
February 21, 2020
Brooks-Wess entered the NCAA's transfer portal Wednesday, Jake Elman of The Palm Beach Post reports. He's no longer listed on Florida Atlantic's official 2020 roster and is expected to move on to another program.
Brooks-Wess looks poised to move on to his fourth school in three years after he began his college career at SMU in 2018. He caught two passes for 17 yards that season before moving on to JUCO program Navarro College last offseason. The wideout never played for Navarro, however, as he then transferred to FAU prior to the 2019 season, suiting up in a couple of games for the Owls but failing to register a reception. Brooks-Wess could struggle to land a scholarship from another FBS school and may have to accept a walk-on offer if he wants to stay at college football's top level.
