27-Year-Old SafetyS
Miami Dolphins
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Rowe followed coach Brian Flores to Miami from New England, and appears to be the favorite to win a starting cornerback gig across from Xavien Howard. Versatile second-year pro Minkah Fitzpatrick is a threat to nab snaps at cornerback no matter who officially tops the depth chart, but if Rowe is able to build upon the potential he flashed with the Patriots and keep healthy (he missed 27 of a possible 48 games during his time in New England), he could emerge as a key member of the Dolphins' secondary. Pick-six in finale
SMiami Dolphins
December 30, 2019
Rowe recorded five tackles (four solo), one defended pass and one interception which he returned for a touchdown during Sunday's divisional win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Rowe nabbed a floated pass from Tom Brady early in the second quarter, returning it 35 yards down the sideline for a touchdown. The former Patriot's interception marked Brady's first pick-six since Dec. 24, 2017. Rowe set career-high marks across the board during his first season in Miami, recording 81 tackles (54 solo), eight defended passes, one pick-six and one forced fumble across 16 contests. The 2015 second-round pick has the potential to once again provide fantasy value in IDP formats when he returns to the Dolphins in 2020.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2015
Although Rowe flashed potential in his rookie season after being drafted in the second round, he reportedly enters the 2016 season firmly behind all of Leodis McKelvin, Ron Brooks, Nolan Carroll and Jalen Mills. Rowe will likely need an unfortunate series of injuries in order to see considerable playing time and is not worthy of IDP consideration in the slightest.
Chip Kelly traded up in the second round to select Rowe. The Eagles’ coaches have been very high on the University of Utah product, and he’s expected to compete with Nolan Carroll for the team’s second starting cornerback position. Rowe can also play safety, which means he could challenge Walter Thurmond for the second starting safety position as well.
