2019 Fantasy Outlook
Davis' 2018 campaign was marred by injuries, and he took the field in just two games. Davis has never been a major factor in the Packers' offense, but he is the team's top return man, and has made an impact on special teams in the past, finishing third in the league in average yards per punt return two seasons ago. Davis has looked good in training camp, but he has also been slowed by another injury. His return abilities could earn him a roster spot, but he is facing stiff competition for a job from a number of other receivers. Read Past Outlooks

Logs 50 offensive snaps in loss
WROakland Raiders
October 21, 2019
Davis caught two passes on as many targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 42-24 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Davis has now logged at least 50 offensive snaps in back-to-back games for the Raiders with fellow receiver Tyrell Williams (foot) sidelined, but the former's hefty snap count has resulted in just six total receptions for 68 yards. Williams could very well remain out Week 8 due to his plantar fasciitis, though Dwayne Harris' (ankle) potential return might limit Davis' special teams opportunities. Newcomer Zay Jones, who was a healthy scratch in Green Bay, could also join the equation at wide receiver against the Texans.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2017
2016
Davis caught just five passes in 2017, but he did do some damage in the return game, providing useful returns on kicks and superb returns on punts - his average of 12.0 yards per punt return was third among qualified players. His return skills were valued enough to keep him on the roster for all 16 games last year, and they will be his biggest asset in the competition for roster spots during training camp this year. Last season was Davis' second straight with single-digit receptions, so even if he does make the cut, he figures to be limited mainly to special teams.
The Packers gave Davis ample chances throughout last year, but he failed to capitalize on them and was limited to just three receptions in a quiet rookie season. The Packers like Davis' speed and will give him a chance to compete for snaps again in training camp, but he will be facing off against several other intriguing prospects and is hardly a lock to even open the season on the 53-man roster.
Davis displayed 4.42 wheels at the Combine and finished his last season at California with 40 catches for a healthy 672 yards. Subsequently, the Packers snagged the speedster in the fifth round of this year's draft to take the top off opposing defenses. However, Davis enters a crowded receiving corps and will have to earn a roster spot, then snaps, and finally Aaron Rodgers' trust before making a fantasy impact of any kind. Fortunately for the rookie, only Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are firmly atop the totem pole.
