ANALYSIS
As expected, Miami is cutting ties with Ogbah and freeing up roughly $14 million in cap space by doing so. The 30-year-old edge rusher appeared in 57 games across his four seasons with the Dolphins, logging 114 total tackles, including 24 sacks, while also defending 19 passes and forcing five fumbles.

Ogbah signed a two-year prove-it deal with the Dolphins in 2020, and he more than made his case for a long-term gig after serving as the team's sack leader in two straight seasons (9.0 in each). Now playing on a four-year, $65 million deal, Ogbah appears a secure bet to repeat with another top-24 fantasy season.
Ogbah's inaugural season in Miami resulted in a career-high nine sacks, nearly doubling his previous single-season record. The Dolphins defense appears primed to take another step forward in 2021. Since Ogbah remains set for a starting role, he's in good position to log another season of solid production.
As great as Myles Garrett appears, anyone who overlooks Ogbah does so at their own peril. He doesn't have the quickness or flexibility to bend around blockers, but Ogbah sets the edge well and boasts top-shelf explosiveness in a straight line, making him a candidate to collapse the pocket when he catches a split gap. With 4.6 speed and a big wingspan, Ogbah (6-4, 275) figures to enjoy at least a couple seasons with double-digit sacks, especially with Garrett crashing the pocket from the other side.
Ogbah nearly fell to the third round of the 2016 draft, but he's already looking worth the pick for Cleveland. His 2016 stats might not look like much, but it's fine work for a rookie playing 850 snaps. His prospect profile shows untapped upside -- he posted double-digit sacks his last two years in college, and he's an explosive athlete with 4.63 speed at 6-4, 275. With the chance to play something closer to 1,000 snaps in new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' likely 4-3 defense, Ogbah should take the next step as an IDP.
