24-Year-Old Running BackRB
Chicago Bears
2019 Fantasy Outlook
The scatback saw his role in the Bears' offense increase in 2018, as his reliability as a receiver and game-breaking speed and elusiveness in the open field gave the team a dynamic element it didn't have from anyone else on the roster. That might have been only a teaser for another step forward in 2019. Chicago shipped Jordan Howard to Philadelphia, and while the team signed Mike Davis from Seattle and traded up in the draft to grab David Montgomery in the third round, Cohen could be headed for a bigger role on the ground after failing to see triple-digit carries in either of his first two NFL seasons. The offense as a whole remains focused on its aerial attack under former Andy Reid assistant Matt Nagy, and that's the area in which the undersized back excels. He finished sixth in receptions among running backs last year, and if the offense is more efficient and productive in its second season under Nagy and third year with Mitchell Trubisky at the helm, there should be even more targets available for Cohen. He fell just short of 1,200 scrimmage yards last season, but there's a path to him surpassing that number this year. Read Past Outlooks

Targeted nine times

December 29, 2019
Cohen caught nine passes for 44 yards and rushed four times for 20 yards in the Bears' 21-19 win over the Vikings in Week 17, and he ended the campaign with 213 rushing yards, 456 receiving yards and three scores .
ANALYSIS
After posting over 1,150 yards and eight touchdowns in 2018, Cohen was a massive disappointment this season, as he barely managed three yards per carry and six yards per reception. Despite his lack of production, he actually saw an increase from the 91 targets he had last season, but aside from PPR leagues, he had very little fantasy value. Going into the last year of his rookie contract in 2020, he'll likely be considered as little more than a depth option at running back in fantasy drafts.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
Cohen exploded out of the gate with triple-digit scrimmage yards twice in his first three NFL games, but his production dwindled as the season progressed, mainly because the whole offense was sluggish under rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the unimaginative John Fox and Dowell Loggains calling shots. Fox is gone, replaced by former Andy Reid assistant Matt Nagy, and while that should bode well for the unit as a whole, Cohen especially could benefit from an increased focus on the passing game. The 5-6 scatback is unlikely to ever handle a workhorse role, but his speed and elusiveness make him dangerous in the open field, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him top the 53 catches and 353 receiving yards he amassed in 2017. Jordan Howard remains firmly in the lead role for the Bears, but Cohen has the talent and potentially the opportunity to make an impact as the passing-down complement.
A fourth-round pick in this year's draft, Cohen joins a crowded Bears backfield but has a clear role available to him as a pass-catching threat and third-down option. Cohen caught 62 passes over his final two seasons in college, and his 4.42 40-yard dash time as well as exceptional elusiveness and vision mark him as a player who can rip off big gains if he gets the ball in his hands in the open field. At just 5-6, 179, he may not be much use between the tackles, and despite his skill set as a runner he has limited experience returning kicks. As a change of pace from Jordan Howard, Cohen could prove to be effective with a handful of touches per game, or maybe more than a handful depending on how quickly Mitchell Trubisky takes over under center and starts looking for check-downs.
