24-Year-Old Defensive EndDE
Seattle Seahawks
2019 Fantasy Outlook
Collier is a necessary reinforcement with the Seahawks trading Frank Clark to the Chiefs, although his production in college - just six sacks in his senior season - and questionable athletic testing don't scream "one-for-one swap." Many are already pegging Collier as a reach, and he'll have some competition in camp from Ezekiel Ansah - who may not be ready Week 1 due to a shoulder injury - and Nazair Jones, who moves from tackle to end. Collier may need some work to adjust to the pro level, so fantasy owners should stay away in IDP settings until he proves himself. Read Past Outlooks

Disappointing rookie season

Collier made three tackles over 11 games in the 2019 season.
ANALYSIS
Many said Collier was a reach when the Seahawks took him 29th overall in last year's draft, and the 24-year-old didn't do much to change those opinions. He played 10 or more defensive snaps in just six games, and he was a healthy scratch for both playoff games. Of course, it's not easy to battle for playing time against Jadeveon Clowney (core) and Ezekiel Ansah (neck), but that duo missed eight games between them and Collier didn't adjust to the pro ranks quickly enough to take advantage. Ansah will likely move on and Clowney's status for 2020 is to be determined, but even if both leave Seattle, Collier will have to compete with Rasheem Green, Branden Jackson and Quinton Jefferson (foot) for reps next year. The Seahawks will likely address their pass rush in free agency and the draft, too.
