2024 Fantasy Outlook
Duncan made the most out of the weeks he was in good form last season, posting three top-3 finishes despite only six top-25s. That's a good recipe for sucess on Tour as he still finished 84th in the FedEx Cup Standings even though he missed more cuts (19) than he made (15). The boom-or-bust nature of his results appears to be more of an anamoly as he failed to record a top-10 two seasons ago, and he's below Tour average in every major statistical category excluding driving accuracy (13th last season). Nonetheless, Duncan has managed to maintain his card for a seventh consecutive season, even if he doesn't stand out from the pack. Read Past Outlooks

For a second straight season, Duncan failed to record a top-10 result but did retain his card with six top-25 finishes while making 16-of-26 cuts. To his credit, he doesn't have any glaring weakness in his game and is one of the more accurate drivers (eighth last season) on Tour. Usually not the most intriuging pick but capable of competing on shorter courses.
Duncan made a whopping 33 starts last season, but made the cut in less than half (16). His lone top-25 was T23 at Mayakoba. He is safe through 2022-23 thanks to his lone PGA Tour win, the 2019 RSM Classic.
Duncan's third season on the PGA Tour was highlighted by his first career victory at the RSM Classic in November of 2019, where he defeated Webb Simpson in a two-hole playoff at 19-under-par. He played solid upon the Tour's restart in June as well, making the cut in nine of 10 starts from the Charles Schwab Challenge through the BMW Championship, though he fell shy of advancing to East Lake at 40th in the FedEx Cup standings after tying for 48th at Olympia Fields CC. He's top-10 among his peers in FIR percentage and 52nd in SG: Approach, but his short game could use improvement ahead of 2021.
Duncan has made the cut in 34 of 60 total starts on the PGA Tour over the last two seasons, but he's only compiled a trio of top-10s during this span and has yet to surpass the $1M mark in single-season earnings. He dropped to 163rd in the FedEx Cup standings to end the 2018-19 campaign, though he ranked 14th in driving accuracy and 41st in GIR percentage despite losing strokes from tee to green. Duncan's clutch top-5 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship will allow him to retain status, but a lousy putter continues to hinder his birdie or better percentage.
A tale of two seasons for Duncan last season as he spent the majority of the first half of the season slamming the trunk on Friday, while the second half of the season he was grinding it out on the weekend. While Duncan made plenty of cuts during the second half of the season, he wasn't getting much done on the weekend. His only top-10 during that span came at the Zurich Classic, which is, of course, a team event. Duncan's only solo top-10 came in his first start of the season in fall. In all, it wasn't a terribly impressive rookie season for Duncan. He did accomplish goal No. 1, which is to earn your card for the following season, but he didn't accomplish much beyond that. It doesn't look like Duncan is on the fast track to success, and as such, it might be a while before he makes his mark.
Duncan's last three years on the Web.com Tour have finally grew into a PGA Tour card as he posted a strong T5 finish at the Albertson's Boise Open to secure his rookie season on the PGA Tour. The Purdue graduate has recorded two runner-ups and a handful of top-10 in the last three years on the Web.com Tour, but how that translates to the PGA Tour will be a story we'll soon find out. The fact that Duncan has yet to win on any major tour is a bit of a concern, so avoid his capped upside in salary cap leagues and avoid him until after the 12th round in draft leagues.
