Role expected to grow
Kolesar is expected to see more time as a penalty-killer while Mark Stone, who's week-to-week with an upper-body injury, is on the shelf, The Athletic's Jesse Granger reports.
ANALYSIS
Kolesar has only averaged 0:08 of ice time as a penalty-killer through 43 games this season, a figure that should grow significantly during Stone's extended absence. Kolesar's picked up five goals and 10 points as a bottom-six option for Vegas this year.

Kolesar became a bottom-six mainstay for Vegas a season ago, playing in 77 of the club's 82 games. The offense was predictably limited (seven goals, 24 points), but Kolesar added a massive physical presence to the lineup, finishing the year with 246 hits, a number that placed him tenth overall in the league. Recently inked to a new three-year, $4.2 million contract this past August, the 25-year-old Winnipeg native will fill a similar role for the Golden Knights in 2022-23, making him an intriguing cheap source of hits in the latter stages of your fantasy draft.
