Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might get bridge contract
Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic believe Rossi is likely to ink a bridge contract after becoming eligible to re-sign this summer.
ANALYSIS
Rossi has 13 goals, 28 points and 37 PIM in 49 contests this season. It's an encouraging step forward for the 22-year-old, but he likely hasn't reached his full potential yet, which is why a short-term deal might make more sense. Minnesota took Rossi with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. His entry-level contract runs through the 2024-25 campaign.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Rossi missed the entire 2020-21 season due to the side effects of a positive COVID-19 test, so all that mattered this past year was that he returned to full health. He passed that test with flying colors, playing 63 games for Minnesota's AHL affiliate in Iowa and posting 53 points. Rossi also saw a brief two-game stint with the Wild. Rossi was widely viewed as the most NHL-ready player in the 2020 draft behind No. 1 overall pick Alexis Lafreniere, so he should have a real chance to crack the Wild lineup this coming season. Rossi, the No. 9 overall pick in that same draft, is a worthy dart throw in deeper fantasy formats.
