Still searching for first UFC win
WelterweightUFC
June 4, 2022
Stolze lost to Benoit Saint-Denis via submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:32 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Stolze looked fine in the extremely rare instances in which the two men were standing at distance on the feet, but he was quickly and thoroughly overwhelmed by the grappling of Saint-Denis. All told, Stolze allowed his opponent to land 3-of-5 takedown attempts in addition to the rear-naked choke which ended the bout. Niklas joined the UFC roster in July 2020, dropping a unanimous decision to Ramazan Emeev. He has since been knocked out by Jared Gooden and submitted here by Saint-Denis. Sporting an 0-3 record with the company and showing zero signs of improvement, it would appear to be highly unlikely Stolze gets a fourth opportunity with the UFC.

Draws Saint-Denis in June
WelterweightUFC
May 1, 2022
Stolze will take on Benoit Saint-Denis in a welterweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for June 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Stolze is 0-2 under the UFC banner, most recently getting finished by Jared Gordon just over a minute into their July 2021 matchup. That followed up a lackluster debut effort from the previous July in which Stolze was only able to land 30 significant strikes in his 15-minute debut against Ramazan Emeev, ceding 6:50 worth of control time. Needless to say, Stolze needs a bounce-back effort here against Saint-Denis, who displayed legendary toughness in his debut against Lizeu Zaleski dos Santos last October, even thought the fight wasn't the least bit competitive.
Lasts 68 seconds in Vegas
WelterweightUFC
July 31, 2021
Stolze lost to Jared Gooden via TKO (punches) at 1:08 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 28 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This bout appeared to be cancelled as recently as this morning due to a COVID-19 protocol breach, but the Nevada Athletic Commission ultimately gave the go ahead to proceed. Stolze lasted all of 68 seconds. Gooden connected with a short right hand that floored Stolze, and the latter was unable to recover. Stolze's UFC run is already on life support after just two bouts with the company. He dropped a decision to Ramazan Emeev in his debut in July 2020 and certainly needs a victory his next time out in order to save his job.
Will face Gooden in the end
WelterweightUFC
July 31, 2021
The fight between Stolze and Jared Gooden has been re-added to Saturday's UFC card in Las Vegas, according to Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com.
ANALYSIS
According to a report, a breach of the COVID-19 protocol had led to the cancellation of the fight, but it has been added back to Saturday's card following clearance from a doctor. Neither fighter tested positive for COVID-19, so the showdown between Gooden and Stolze will be happening -- increasing Saturday's card to 10 total fights.

ANALYSIS
Stolze was originally scheduled to fight Mounir Lazzez, but he had to withdraw from the event due to visa-related issues. The reason for the latest, last-minute cancellation has yet to be announced. It remains to be seen when Stolze, who owns a 17-6 MMA record, will fight again.

ANALYSIS
