Brown defeated Muslim Salikhov via TKO (punches) at 3:17 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
These two were due to fight at UFC 296 in mid-December before a Brown illness forced its postponement. They finally got it on here, and Randy picked up a statement win. Brown didn't have much going early on, but a quick jab following by a sweeping hook cracked Salikhov in the jaw and put him out in an instant. Now 33 years of age, Brown has won six of seven dating back to April 2021, and his lone loss in that span came against a legitimate contender in Jack Della Maddalena. "Rude Boy" deserves a step up in competition his next time out. He's earned it. In the meantime, he'll walk away with an extra $50,000 as one of two Performance of the Night recipients on the card.

Improves to 5-1 in past six
WelterweightUFC
June 24, 2023
Brown defeated Wellington Turman via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC on ABC 5 on Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
ANALYSIS
It was a strong, bounce-back effort from Brown on the heels of his first-round submission loss to rising star Jack Della Maddalena this past February. He used his massive frame to consistently overpower Turman -- a former middleweight dropping down to welterweight -- in tight over the course of the first ten minutes. That, combined with landing just enough in the striking game, won Brown the first two rounds. He was less effective in Round 3 when Turman was able to gain some space, but the fight was already over. Brown has typically struggled whenever tasked with facing better competition, but his 11-5 record in 16 UFC bouts is impressive. "Rude Boy" makes for excellent depth at 185 pounds.
