Pyfer lost to Jack Hermansson via unanimous decision (47-48, 47-48, 47-48) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pyfer isn't a kid at age 27, but he has just 14 professional fights under his belt, including only four in the UFC, so hopefully he learns from this result. Entering as a -260 favorite, Joe did whatever he wanted for the first six or seven minutes. He blasted Hermansson with power shots and continued to stalk forward and hunt his prey. The final three rounds were a totally different story. Pyfer, who had never fought five rounds before, didn't appear to be tiring at all, but Jack figured out what was coming his way and turned the tables completely. With the fight in the balance and a few minutes left, Pyfer gave up a takedown and was never able to get back to his feet. The talk is going to be how Joe was up two rounds and blew it, but the truth of the matter is that for much of this fight he looked darn good against a legitimate top-ten opponent and by far the best guy he has faced to date. There's plenty to work with here. It's now up to Pyfer and his team to make the necessary adjustments.

Pyfer is scheduled to fight Jack Hermansson in a middleweight bout at the UFC's Feb. 10 event in Las Vegas, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
For his next fight, Pyfer will challenge the No. 10 middleweight in the UFC. Despite his lack of recent fights, Hermansson is still a respectable 6-4 in the UFC, making him a tough matchup for Pyfer.

Pyfer defeated Abdul Razak Alhassan via technical submission (arm-triangle choke) at 2:05 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Whether or not Pyfer has any long term staying power at 185 pounds is yet to be seen, but the early results are overwhelmingly positive, with Alhassan being his latest victim. Pyfer's power has been on display in the past. In this fight, he showed off his wrestling and submission game. The Pennsylvania native earned his UFC opportunity with a knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series in July 2022. He has since gone on to have three official fights with the company, scoring stoppage wins over Alhassan, Gerald Meerschaert, and Alen Amedovski. The 27-year-old Pennsylvania native is looking at a well-deserved bump in competition her next time out.

Pyfer will compete against Abdul Razak Alhassan in a middleweight fight at UFC Vegas 80 on Oct. 7, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Pyfer has a favorable opportunity to improve his winning streak. He will fight a middleweight about 12 years older than him and one trying to build a streak of his own after defeating Claudio Ribeiro.
Will face Radtke

May 11, 2023
Pyfer will face Charlie Radtke in a grappling match on May 27 in Philadelphia, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pyfer has stacked together four straight wins, and hasn't lost since 2020. What's more, he's perfect in the UFC after taking out Gerald Meerschaert via TKO in the first round in early April. His opponent Charlie Radtke, meanwhile, will be making his UFC debut.
