WeatherTech Racing will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R and a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the new-for-2022 GTD Pro class at this month's Rolex 24 at Daytona, the team has announced. MacNeil will pilot both entries, which will be run by Proton Competition in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opener, sportscar365.com reports.

MacNeil will be back with WeatherTech Racing again in 2022. He's set for double-duty in the Rolex 24 as he will pilot both the team's Porsche and Mercedes entries in the endurance classic. After the dust settles from the season-opener in Daytona, MacNeil will go on with Julien Andlauer to contest the full season GT Pro in the team's No. 79 Porsche.
