The No. 53 Ford is a driver rotation car for the team, and they have signed Decker to make select starts in the car. The schedule has not been announced at this point, but we do know that Decker will get the start at Daytona for the team's ARCA/Menards Series effort. 2019
Decker made no starts in the truck series last season, and just five starts in the Xfinity Series in 2021. No 2022 plans have been announced. She is a free agent driver entering the season.
Decker made 13 starts for the Niece Motorsports No. 44 team in 2020. Her results were a mixed bag. Decker grabbed a surprising Top 5 in the season opener at Daytona, but then went on to only crack the Top 25 three more times in the remaining events. Her plans for 2021 have not been announced, but it is believed she will be returning to this race team in the upcoming season for another part-time schedule.
As of mid-January this team's plans have not been announced. Decker raced the majority of the schedule last season with only a few spot starts by other drivers. It was nothing short of a tough affair for Decker. Her first full season in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series was a struggle from start to finish. Nine of her 19 starts ended in DNF's, mostly as a result of crashes. The Top-20 finishes were few and far between with just six for the season. The 22.2 average finish led to a 19th-place finish in the final driver standings. If Decker returns to this team in 2020 they face an uphill battle to help her race more competitively on a weekly basis. - January update - signed with Niece Motorsports to make a handful of starts in the team's No. 44 Chevrolet.
This team will be an interesting outfit to watch in 2019. Both Decker and Alfredo are young rising talents in the stock car racing world. Decker made her big splash in the ARCA Series last year, piloting Venturini Motorsport's No. 25 Toyota to nine Top-10 finishes and a surprising seventh-place final spot in the driver standings. Alfredo was a big contender in the K&N Pro Series East last year. He captured one victory and nine Top 10's en route to a fifth-place points finish. This young duo will roughly split time in the DGR/Crosley No. 54 Toyota Tundra. Neither driver has any experience in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series, but both have budding talent. That combined with a good race team, strong sponsorship package, and a veteran crew chief in Bono Manion, should add up to some surprisingly good performances.
