FORWARDS / MIDFIELDERS

Romelu Lukaku, CHE v. LIL ($20): The reigning Champions League champions are huge favorites as they host Lille. Romelu Lukaku has struggled as of late in the Premier League, but the oddsmakers still like him as he has the top scoring odds for Tuesday's two-game slate. He's scored two goals in four Champions League matches to go with three shots on goal and six scoring chances created. Hakim Ziyech ($17) scored an 89th minute winner against Crystal Palace on Saturday, and he's scored in three-straight matches, not including the Club World Cup. He was a late sub in the last Champions League match, but in the prior two outings he finished with 26.2 and 47.6 fantasy points. If you don't think Lukaku bounces back, Ziyech is a reasonably safe pivot. Jorginho ($15) is worth a shout as he takes penalties and contributes defensive stats to help his floor.

Jonathan David, LIL at CHE ($17): Lille are somewhat of a surprise inclusion in the knockout rounds, but one of the main reasons they found themselves in this position is Canada's own, Jonathan David, who leads Lille in Champions League goals and scoring chances with three and six scoring, respectively. Burak Yilmaz ($16) is the alternative to David and he's contributed with two goals and seven shots on goal.

Jonathan Bamba ($13) has been productive in his past two European starts, finishing with 14.5 and 17.5 points, and he's also been on set pieces in recent league matches without Renato Sanches in the XI. Keep in mind that Chelsea are heavily favored, though Lille have been good enough to make it this far. Xeka ($8) is the cheapest expected starter, which could be a good way to fill your lineup if you run out of budget.

Dani Parejo, VIL v. JUV ($14): Parejo has created more scoring chances (14) in the Champions League than any other player on Tuesday's two-match slate. Despite that type of production, he's still on the cheaper side and is a viable play on a slate where none of the most expensive players have necessarily justified their price more so than Parejo. Villarreal could also benefit from playing at home, where they're slight favorites according to the oddsmakers. Arnaut Danjuma ($18) has a higher ceiling than Parejo due to his goalscoring record, as he's paced Villarreal in goals (four) in six Champions League matches. Etienne Capoue ($12) is more of a GPP play, as he's been feast or famine with four matches in single digits, while scoring 35 and 45 points in his two other appearances. Giovani Lo Celso ($15) also deserves a mention playing as a forward in his first two Villarreal starts.

Manuel Locatelli, JUV at VIL ($11): Locatelli is by no means a premium play, but his price and potential to hit double digits make him a worthy investment. He's scored at least 9.5 in three of five UCL starts and is expected to operate alongside Adrien Rabiot ($12) and Weston McKennie ($14) in the Juventus midfield. The Juventus attack will be missing some key pieces due to injury, which opens up playing time for Dusan Vlahovic ($20), though you don't get much of a price break. Alvaro Morata ($18) is probably their safest bet in attack, but you'll be taking a risk as they're playing away from home as slight underdogs. If you have money, Juan Cuadrado ($15) may have the safest floor of the bunch with an exclusive role on set pieces possible.

DEFENDERS

Juan Foyth, VIL v. JUV ($10): If you're looking for a cheap defender, who has a consistent floor and will be playing at home, look no further than Juan Foyth. He's started five of six UCL matches and hasn't finished with a score lower than nine points, while hitting 16 points twice with a high of 20.8. In terms of odds, this is a tight matchup and the Villarreal back line could benefit from the Juventus attack being without Paulo Dybala, Federico Chiesa and Federico Bernardeschi. Danilo ($13) is fit again after missing an extended period and is a good enough price to take a chance on as he's scored at least 12 points in all three Champions League starts.

Jose Fonte, LIL at CHE ($9): With Chelsea being huge favorites, there's a good chance Lille find themselves playing on the back foot for long stretches. This could lead to a big day in terms of defensive production, which makes Jose Fonte a viable play at center-back. He'll partner with Sven Botman ($11) and Fonte cheaper despite scoring 10-plus points in five of six group stage matches. Thiago Silva ($12) will likely see plenty of the ball as Chelsea retain possession. In his past three Champions League starts, he's created four scoring chances while finishing with more than 16 fantasy points in each of those.

GOALKEEPERS

Leo Jardim, LIL at CHE ($7): Chelsea haven't been playing their best of late and it'll be interesting to see if they can rediscover their form in the Champions League. They're heavy favorites at home against Lille, which may lead to a lot of save opportunities for Jardim. Edouard Mendy ($12) has the top clean-sheet odds at home and doesn't require a massive investment. Geronimo Rulli ($9) is starting at home and is slightly favored over Juventus. Wojciech Szczesny ($10) is middle of the road in terms of price, but he has played in enough Champions League knockout matches to be a good play, especially as Juventus may be forced to defend for longer periods while missing some of their top attackers.
