Hawks Host Bulls In Eastern Conference Battle
The Atlanta Hawks will host the Chicago Bulls at State Farm Arena on Friday evening.

The Hawks (27-25) are 13-10 when playing at home and that boosts their chances of getting a positive result in this contest, but they are coming off a 131-113 defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies the last time out -- that defeat ended a winning streak that pushed the Hawks to playoff-contention territory once again. Bogdan Bogdanovic led the Hawks with 24 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, in 36 minutes, during that loss. Trae Young totaled 14 points, 11 assists and five rebounds, while Onyeka Okongwu logged 13 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. The Hawks shot 44 percent from the field, including 10-of-28 from long range. Atlanta average 113.4 points per game and concede 110.7 points per tilt -- they outlast the Bulls in both categories.

The Bulls (22-28) are undoubtedly trending in the right direction and enter this game on the heels of a three-game winning streak after topping the Toronto Raptors by a 122-113 score on Thursday. Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic both led the Bulls with 22 points, and the star duo seems to be playing better and better as games progress -- LaVine also added 13 assists, five rebounds and three steals, while Vucevic also supplied seven rebounds, four assists and a steal. Thaddeus Young and Patrick Williams produced 11-point tallies, though Young also had nine boards and six assists while Williams had seven boards. Lauri Markkanen had 18 points off the bench. Daniel Theis contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds. Chicago also has a 12-12 mark when playing away from home and has gone 3-3 in their last six contests.
