Celtics Host Timberwolves Looking For Another Win
The Boston Celtics will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at TD Garden on Friday evening.

The Celtics (26-26) continue to disappoint this season and remain underperforming compared to the pre-season expectations, but they're coming off a positive result the last time out since they defeated the New York Knicks by a 101-99 score on Wednesday at home. Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 32 points, complementing them with 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Tatum followed with 25 points, 10 boards, five assists and one steal. Smart delivered 17 points, nine assists, four rebounds, one steal and one block. Robert Williams mustered just six points but also totaled 10 rebounds and two blocks. The win over the Knicks means the Celtics have now gone 16-10 when playing at home, and they seem to be hitting their stride since they've won three of their last four contests.

The Timberwolves (13-39) remain one of the worst teams in the Western Conference and are coming off another loss, as they dropped their most recent contest against the Indiana Pacers by a 141-137 score. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with a 32-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included six assists and one block. Anthony Edwards provided 27 points, five boards, three assists and one steal. Ricky Rubio and D'Angelo Russell posted matching 17-point contributions while dishing out seven and five assists, respectively. Naz Reid supplied 16 points and five rebounds. The Timberwolves have gone 2-3 over their last five games and, to make things even more complicated for them, they're also one of the worst teams in the entire Association when playing on the road after winning just five of 27 contests (5-22).
