Jazz Dominate Nuggets, Even Playoff Series
The Utah Jazz defeated the Denver Nuggets, 124-105, in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs on Wednesday. The series is now tied 1-1.

The Jazz and the Nuggets played a tight contest in Game 1, but Utah dominated with little to no opposition from Denver in Game 2. The game was a contest during the first 20 minutes of action, but Utah pulled away in the final minutes of the first half and never looked back. It seemed as if Denver was out of gas in the second half, and the best example was the fact that the Jazz led by as much as 31 points during the final quarter. Denver attempted a comeback in the final minutes, but the game was already out of reach. The Jazz cruised their way to a comfortable 19-point victory that evened the first-round series at one win apiece.

Donovan Mitchell didn't repeat his 57-point performance from Game 1, but he led the Jazz with 30 points and eight assists, and Jordan Clarkson notched 26 points, four rebounds and three assists from the bench. Rudy Gobert stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks, while Joe Ingles contributed 18 points and six dimes. Utah shot 51.7 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from the field from three-point range.

Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic each scored 28 points for the Nuggets -- while the first-year forward also added six rebounds, the Serbian big man chipped in with 11 rebounds and six assists as well. Jamal Murray, who was Denver's hero in the first game of the series, only mustered 14 points while shooting 6-for-13 from the field. Monte Morris added 10 points off the bench.
