Jazz Defeat Trail Blazers, 122-103
The Utah Jazz defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 122-103, at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Thursday.

While there were seven ties and 10 lead changes in the first 30 minutes of this game, Utah rode a 40-19 third quarter to a blowout victory. In fact, that third quarter allowed Utah to lead by at least 12 points for the entirety of the fourth quarter. The Jazz shot 45 percent from the field while holding the Trail Blazers below 40 percent from the field and 27 percent from long range. Utah also out-assisted Portland, 21-18, while out-rebounding them, 58-41.

The Trail Blazers (30-21) were led by Damian Lillard and his 23 points, five rebounds and six assists. C.J. McCollum amassed 19 points, three rebounds and two assists. Both guys shot 8-of-21 from the field. Norman Powell had 13 points and five rebounds while Jusuf Nurkic generated 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Jazz (37-13) were led by Donovan Mitchell, tallying 37 points, five rebounds and four assists. Rudy Gobert collected 18 points, 20 rebounds and two assists. Mike Conley accrued 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. Bojan Bogdanovic amassed 11 points and five boards while Joe Ingles led the bench with 13 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Both teams return to action on Saturday, with Portland returning home to face the struggling Detroit Pistons and Utah remaining home to face the Sacramento Kings.
