CBS Expert IDP League Results

IDP's aren't my strongest suit, but I enjoy playing in these leagues nonetheless. This draft on Wednesday was a little tricky because of the deep rosters and the wide-open scoring format. It was a 29-round draft (and there was no clock for the first 12 rounds or so - ugh), with the following 19 active positions:

Position Min  Max
Active QB11
Active RB22
Active WR33
Active TE11
Active RB-WR-TE11
Active K11
Active DL22
Active LB33
Active DB33
Active DL-LB-DB11
Active ST11

Notables about the scoring system: 6 points per passing touchdown, PPR league - 1 pt per reception. Pretty much everything else about the scoring system was standard.

I drafted 10th - which is a pretty comfortable slot for me this year, especially how the draft unfolded early on. I did play the wait-on-the-QBs game a round too long, unfortunately.

My squad:

QB: Hasselbeck, E. Manning, Delhomme
RB: Kevin Smith (3), Beanie Wells (5), D. Ward (6), Donald Brown (8), Mendenhall (9), Buckhalter, Kevin Jones
WR: Fitzgerald (1), Calvin Johnson (2), Holt (7), Maclin, Devin Thomas
TE: Gates (4)
K: Kris Brown
DL: Justin Smith, Darryl Tapp, Kevin Williams
LB: Vilma, Channing Crowder, Ernie Sims, David Harris (we get a def. flex), Stephen Cooper
DB: Kerry Rhodes, Kevin Payne, Chris Gamble
ST: Titans

My DL's are weak, and naturally I don't have a great QB for the format. Though I don't have a clearcut elite back, I like Smith late in the 3rd a lot in a PPR league and I think I've got some pretty good depth. If one of Brown/Ward/Mendenhall pans out, I like my backs. I'm pretty happy with my LB's, too.

Your thoughts? How early do you start drafting IDP's in a league like this? Vilma was my first, in the 10th round.
