NFBC Week #11 FAAB Results

I'm still hanging in there in the overall for the Main Event, but my once awesome hitting has been pretty mediocre of late. Odds at the beginning of the season that Brandon Moss would be the panacea for my ails at any given point?

Main Event (119.5 points (though it appears I'll be losing four points Sunday), 1/15; 3,351 points overall, 6/420); $415 FAAB remaining.

- Between Nick Swisher getting banged up, Ian Stewart going on the DL perhaps for a long time, and Bryan LaHair getting far less playing time than earlier this season, I need another bat. Brandon Moss it is - a week too late, but at least he's playing regularly.

- Nice to see Mike Scioscia hasn't changed regarding young catchers, at least as far as Hank Conger is concerned. The Angels are playing well again, so he won't get crushed by that. Off he goes, say hello to Ryan Hanigan - at least I'll get three starts from him. Still waiting for Alex Avila to get back.

- I've been pretty good until this week about avoiding disaster starts. I'm probably the only guy in the NFBC that had both Matt Cain |STAR|and|STAR| J.A. Happ going during Cain's perfect game. Meanwhile, Joe "dead to me" (well, mostly dead to me) Blanton sat on my bench, throwing a nice little complete game against the Twins. I'm contemplating Happ this week still, with two reasonable home starts. I don't know how to avoid being my own worst enemy.

NFBC Satellite League: (80 points, 7/15); $294 FAAB remaining.

- Not much to see here - my team is milquetoast. Sean Marshall to that end fits my team perfectly.I've got a big lead in steals, meaning that the likes of Scott Podsednik and Lorenzo Cain aren't useful to me. Otherwise, I thought that those were good value bids.
