2023 Fantasy Outlook
Tucker makes for a high-pedigree undrafted free agent, as he racked up 2,556 rushing yards, 509 receiving yards and 27 total touchdowns over his last two seasons at Syracuse. The compactly built rookie (5-9, 207) should have his fair share of reps during training camp and preseason games, but he'll have no shortage of competition for a depth running back role considering the presence of holdovers Ke'Shawn Vaughn and Patrick Laird, as well as fellow UDFA Ronnie Brown. Beats odds as UDFA
Tucker was active for 11 regular-season games in the 2023 season, rushing 15 times for 23 yards and bringing in both his targets for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Though he wasn't chosen in the 2023 NFL Draft, Tucker parlayed a productive college career at Syracuse that he capped off with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons into a three-year deal with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. After an impressive summer showing, Tucker earned his way onto the 53-man roster. However, Tucker was unsurprisingly used sparingly once the regular season began, as three-down lead back Rachaad White enjoyed good health throughout the campaign. Tucker recorded all his touches from scrimmage in the first three weeks of the season while Chase Edmonds was on injured reserve with a knee injury, and the former logged just one Week 10 snap on offense the rest of the season. Tucker was a healthy inactive from Week 15 through the Buccaneers' two-game postseason run, but as he enters the second season in Tampa Bay, he should have a chance to compete for the No. 2 role. Edmonds is a pending free agent and may not be retained.

Talks health, hurdles to NFL
Tucker sat down with Jenna Laine of ESPN.com on Saturday and opened up about his previously diagnosed heart condition and his path to the NFL.
ANALYSIS
When he found out about his heart condition just before the NFL Combine, Tucker said that "it was hard at first, just hearing everything...it came as a surprise...it was definitely hard." Over his final two years at Syracuse, Tucker rushed for 2,556 yards and 23 touchdowns on 452 carries while adding 56 receptions for 509 yards and an additional four touchdowns. Running backs coach Skip Peete noted that Tucker would have been drafted if it weren't for his heart condition. He's shown flashes of potential since doctors cleared him at the beginning of training camp, including a 55-yard performance on nine touches in the Bucs' 13-6 preseason win over the Jets. With his impressive showings in preseason games and training camp, Tucker could very well be on his way to making the final 53-man roster.
