Raptors Mount Huge Comeback, Defeat Mavericks
The Toronto Raptors defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 110-107, at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday.

The Raptors (21-8) delivered one of their best performances of the season as they erased a 30-point deficit to claim a huge home win over the Mavericks (19-10). Even though Dallas, who didn’t have their star player in Luka Doncic, led most of the game, the shorthanded Raptors managed to turn things around when it mattered the most. Toronto didn’t have Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell and Marc Gasol, but other players stepped things up. The biggest moment of the comeback came in the final quarter, as Dallas entered the final 12 minutes of action down by 23 points. However, a 47-21 score in the final quarter allowed Toronto to pull a huge win in front of their own crowd.

Kyle Lowry was the best player for the Raptors, as he finished the contest with 32 points (12-23 FG), 10 assists and eight rebounds, and Fred VanVleet scored 10 points while grabbing three rebounds but these two players were the only two to score in double digits from the starting unit. Chris Boucher had a solid performance off the bench since he had 21 points, seven rebounds, four blocks and two steals. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson finished with 18 points and nine rebounds in 29 minutes.

All five Mavericks in the starting lineup managed to score in double digits, but that didn’t happen with any bench player. Jalen Brunson led the way for Dallas with 21 points and nine assists, but Kristaps Porzingis had a strong double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Dorian Finney-Smith added 14 points, five boards and three assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Dwight Powell chipped in with 17 points and nine boards.
