Lakers Defeat Trail Blazers in Game 3, 116-108
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 116-108, in Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round playoffs in Orlando on Saturday.

While Portland held the lead for 23 of the 24 first-half minutes, Los Angeles rode a 40-29 third quarter to their victory. In fact, there were just two ties and three lead changes in total, with Los Angeles getting their lead up to 14 points at times in the second half. The Lakers ended up shooting 50 percent from the field while holding the Trail Blazers to just 41 percent. In addition, Los Angeles went 28-of-43 from the free-throw line while Portland connected on 18-of-19. The Lakers also out-rebounded the Blazers, 55-38, while out-assisting them, 26-17.

The Trail Blazers (1-2) were led by Damian Lillard, who totaled 34 points, five rebounds and seven assists. C.J. McCollum finished with 28 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Carmelo Anthony had 20 points, six rebounds, two assists and four steals while Jusuf Nurkic recorded just 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Lakers (2-1) were led by LeBron James, who tallied 38 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Anthony Davis also flirted with a triple-double, collecting 29 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope amassed 13 points and three boards while Alex Caruso led the bench with 10 points, four rebounds and seven assists.

Game 4 will be played on Monday.
