Clippers Defeat Trail Blazers, 133-116
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 133-116, at Staples Center on Tuesday.

Los Angeles got out to a 47-32 lead after the first quarter, winning this game in wire-to-wire fashion. In fact, they got their lead up to 26 points at times in the second quarter while holding a double-digit lead for the final 10 minutes of action. The Clippers shot 52 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range while holding the Trail Blazers to 40 percent from the field and 31 percent from long range. In addition, Los Angeles' bench outscored Portland's bench, 44-21.

The Trail Blazers (30-20) were led by Norman Powell and his 32 points and four rebounds. C.J. McCollum totaled 24 points, three rebounds, six assists and two steals. Damian Lillard had 11 points, four rebounds and six assists on 2-of-14 from the field. Enes Kanter amassed 13 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks while Robert Covington generated 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Clippers (34-18) were led by Paul George and his 36 points, three rebounds and five assists. Kawhi Leonard collected 29 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Ivica Zubac accrued 11 points, five rebounds and two assists. Reggie Jackson led the bench with 23 points, three rebounds and two assists. DeMarcus Cousins made his debut and finished with seven points in seven minutes.

Both teams return to action on Thursday, with Los Angeles remaining home to face the scorching Phoenix Suns and Portland staying on the road to face the Utah Jazz.
