Grizzlies Host Thunder on Wednesday
The Oklahoma City Thunder play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies (10-17) come into this matchup winning four of their last five games, with the only loss coming against the Milwaukee Bucks. That's a team that many opponents have struggled with this season and it shows just how good this Memphis team is playing right now. The unfortunate part about that is the start the Grizzlies got off to. They started with a 6-16 record and that appears to be too deep of a hole to dig out of. The young talent has fans mesmerized though, with Ja Morant being the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year and Jaren Jackson showing flashes of brilliance in that stretch. That pairs nicely with veterans like Jae Crowder and Jonas Valanciunas, making this a team no one wants to face when they're fully healthy.

The Thunder (12-14) come into this matchup winning six of their last nine games. What makes that stretch even more impressive is the fact that the three losses all came against playoff contenders. That's what we expected to see from this club all season and they're finally creeping closer to .500 with this recent run. Trade rumors have been swirling around this team ever since they got rid of Russell Westbrook and Paul George but the winning ways have people thinking differently. A core with Chris Paul, Steven Adams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari are plenty good to compete but they're still one piece short. That means they may find themselves as a target right before the trade deadline but it's very possible that they might become a buyer instead. This organization has had no problem landing big players in the past and they're definitely a club that needs to be monitored over the coming months.

Oklahoma City has dominated this series over recent years, winning nine of their last 10 games over Memphis.
