Nuggets Host Magic on Wednesday
The Orlando Magic travel to Colorado to face the Denver Nuggets at Pepsi Center on Wednesday.

The Magic (12-15) have really struggled away from home this season, posting a 4-9 road record. What makes that even more difficult here is the fact that Orlando has one of the toughest back-to-backs in the NBA. The Magic narrowly lost to the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Tuesday and that's going to make this game even tougher. Like past seasons, it's all about the offensive and defensive splits. In fact, Orlando currently sits fifth in total defense while allowing the second-fewest points in the NBA. The only team with a better mark is their opponent here and that should make for a low-scoring battle between two defensively-minded teams.

The Nuggets (17-8) come into this matchup winning three-straight which actually snapped their worst stretch of the season. Prior to that, Denver lost five of their previous six games and it appears that was just a blip on the radar. The one thing that Mike Malone is desperate for is some consistency on the offensive end of the floor. While the defense has been elite, the 23rd-ranked offense is simply not good enough for a team with so many talented players. The good news is that Nikola Jokic's early-season slump appears to be a thing of the past, averaging 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists over his last six games in total.

Denver won the first meeting between these teams, 91-87, on November 2. That gives the Nuggets seven-straight wins over the Magic dating back four years.
