Raptors and Pistons Face Off in Motor City
The Toronto Raptors take on the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.

The Raptors (18-8) seem to be emerging from a recent slump in strong fashion, as they'll come into Wednesday's contest having won three of their past four games. Their most recent success came at the expense of the Cleveland Cavaliers, which they throttled by a 133-113 score Monday night. Pascal Siakam paced the Raptors with 33 points, adding four rebounds and four assists. Norman Powell poured in 26 points and complemented them with six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Kyle Lowry generated a 20-point, 11-assist double-double that also included four rebounds. Serge Ibaka furnished 14 points and five boards.

The Raptors will be without Fred VanVleet (knee) and Matt Thomas (finger) in Wednesday's game, while Stanley Johnson (groin) is likely to sit as well.

The Pistons (11-16) have faced plenty of adversity this season, but they'll come into Wednesday's game with a solid 5-3 record over their last eight games. However, one of their three defeats during that span came their last time on the floor, when they fell to the Washington Wizards by a 133-119 score Monday night in a game they had to play without Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin due to injury. Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris co-led the Pistons with matching 22-point tallies, with Rose adding eight assist and six rebounds. Bruce Brown delivered 20 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Luke Kennard and Christian Wood scored 14 and 12 points, respectively, with each also pulling down six rebounds.

The Pistons expect to have Drummond (eye) and Griffin (knee) back for Wednesday's game. Reggie Jackson (back) and Khyri Thomas (foot) will remain out.

Wednesday's game marks the second of four meetings between the teams this season. The Raptors hold a 1-0 series lead, having notched a 125-113 win on Oct. 30.
