Nuggets Notch Seventh Straight Win
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs, 106-96, at Ball Arena on Wednesday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start as the score stayed close through the first quarter, and the Spurs took a two-point lead into the second. The game slowed down as the Nuggets outscored the visitors, 24-18, through the second quarter, to take a four-point lead by halftime. The Nuggets picked up where they left off in the third, as they pushed their lead to 10 points, mid way through the quarter, before the Spurs cut it back to a seven-point game heading into the final frame. The Nuggets stayed in control the rest of the way to notch their seventh straight win, while this marks the fourth straight loss for the Spurs.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 25 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and a steal, in 30 minutes. Michael Porter Jr. totaled 18 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and a block, while Will Barton chipped in 14 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals. The Nuggets shot 44 percent from the field, including 8-of-26 from deep.

Meanwhile, Dejounte Murray led the Spurs with 18 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals, in 28 minutes. Derrick White tallied 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks, while DeMar DeRozan finished with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Spurs shot 42 percent from the field, including 6-of-24 from long range.

The Spurs (24-25) and the Nuggets (33-18) are set to face-off again on Friday.
